Computer printing or screen printing is applied to paper or transfer film, which is then heat-pressed onto the fabric.
Different types of films allow for effects that are unattainable with direct printing, ranging from metallic colors to the ability to dye polyester fibers. The greatest advantage of transfer films is that they enable us to mark hard-to-reach areas or other types of clothing and items.
Digital thermal transfer
Similar to direct-to-garment (DTG) printing, this method offers a full color palette, allowing for the transfer of photorealistic designs onto clothing. The design is printed on paper or film, and then heat-pressed onto the material, enabling patterns to be placed on items like caps or in areas that are inaccessible to printers.
Sublimation
A printing technique that allows for decorating light-colored polyester shirts. The design is printed on special transfer paper and then heat-pressed onto the fabric, dyeing the fibers, which makes it the most durable printing technique.
Hot-stamping
Hot stamping (thermo transfer or hot print) is a method that involves applying a special adhesive layer onto a printed substrate, onto which hot stamping foil is placed. Then, due to the action of high temperature, the foil is heat-pressed onto the material in the areas where it made contact with the adhesive layer. This method is primarily used for shiny prints.
Flex
A marking technique that involves heat-pressing foil onto the material. It is one of the most durable marking methods, as the print works in conjunction with the fabric. The foil can be printed on, and there are various types of foil available, such as carbon, perforated, metallic, glitter, and luminescent.
Flock
A three-dimensional decorative effect with a velvety texture allows for an interesting and unique result. It can be applied to cotton, polyester, and baseball caps.
